Elective Africa attended the 2026 National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP) Conference, held from June 24–27 in New Orleans, Louisiana. As one of the conference exhibitors, we joined health professions advisors, university faculty, and international program providers from across the United States to discuss opportunities in global health education.

Our exhibition was themed "Connecting Students and Volunteers with Meaningful Global Health Experiences in Africa." Throughout the conference, we engaged with faculty members and health professions advisors, sharing the many opportunities available through Elective Africa. These include clinical electives, healthcare internships, hospital shadowing experiences, volunteer programs, and community outreach initiatives across Africa.

The conference also provided an excellent opportunity to reconnect with our university partners, meet new institutions, and exchange ideas with fellow organizations working in global health and international education. These conversations continue to strengthen the partnerships that help students access meaningful international learning experiences.

We appreciate everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about Elective Africa, share their experiences, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
