Elective Africa is an incredible program that goes out of their way to meet student needs. I am so grateful for all the housing and dining accommodations. I have no complaints. The hospital rotations were very flexible and I got to shadow what I was interested in. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see certain cases in emergency, dermatology, and surgery. The people at the hospital were usually very welcoming and happy to teach. I never felt uncomfortable asking questions.
